AAPGAI ensures that its members are able to offer the best informed
advice and pass on their skills to customers wishing to learn
fly fishing and other game fishing techniques by a rigorous entrance
examination process covering the teaching and diagnostic skills
required to deliver first class tuition. The Association was
formed in 2003 and represents the majority of top class game
angling and fly fishing instructors in the British Isles, all
of whom hold advanced professional instructors qualifications.
The Association's members are expected to attend continuing professional
development (CPD) events featuring new techniques, products and
developments in the sphere of game angling on a half yearly basis.
Members are actively involved teaching fly fishing skills at
all levels from children and beginners to the highest achievable
instructor grades for all types of freshwater and saltwater game
fish species.
The association has now become international with instructors
from all parts of the world coming to the UK to take the assessments
and become members. This makes the professional developments
events a major highlight as new ideas and techniques are shared
by everyone within the association.
To ensure that you get the highest quality and best value fly
fishing instruction, book with a member of AAPGAI. For contact
